Our Mission

Montessori Connections provides an educational environment prepared for the appropriate developmental level of young children, incorporating freedom within limits and guided by careful observation of the work the child does in the construction of self. The collaboration of home and school is essential in the development of the whole child. By sharing our knowledge of the child in our midst, we create the optimal framework for growth.

Education is a natural process carried out by the human individual, and is not acquired by listening to words, but by experiences in the environment.

The first aim of the prepared environment is, as far as it is possible, to render the growing child independent of the adult.

The secret of good teaching is to regard the child's intelligence as a fertile field in which seeds may be sown, to grow under the heat of flaming imagination.
